Refund policy

At Melam Murals, we want you to love your artwork. If something isn't right, this policy explains your options. This policy is in addition to your rights under applicable Indian consumer law.

Return window

You may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order, provided the item meets the conditions below.

Conditions for return

  • The item must be unused, undamaged, and in its original condition and packaging.
  • Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required.
  • The return request must be raised within the 7-day window.

Non-returnable items

The following cannot be returned or refunded unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Custom, commissioned, or personalised artwork.
  • Items marked “Final Sale” or purchased at a special discount.
  • Gift cards.

Damaged or defective items

We pack carefully, but if your artwork arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at support@melammurals.in with:

  • Your order number, and
  • Clear photographs of the damaged item and its packaging.

We will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund at no additional cost to you once verified.

How to start a return

Email support@melammurals.in with your order number and reason for return. Please do not send items back before receiving confirmation and return instructions from us — returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.

Return shipping costs

  • If the return is due to our error (wrong or damaged item), we cover return shipping.
  • For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, and any original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of approval. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time to reflect in your account.

Exchanges

If you'd like a different piece, the fastest way is to return the eligible item for a refund and place a new order.

Order cancellations

You may cancel an order within 24 hours of placing it, provided it has not yet been dispatched. Please contact us as soon as possible.
